No printing of label or anything was required. Worst thing here is that I paid 200 USD for this over night shipping and all host had to do was to go to the FedEx located 1.5 miles away from her home and just hand over the backpack. But at the same time I feel like at the moment we both agreed to ship it, host is now kinda taking the responsibility of actually shipping it and making sure it is safe till that. Now - my take on this is - it is of course my fault that I left my backpack there. It is also a big loss financially since those items were very valuable. It completely ruin my last week of this vacation. Losing my passport one week prior to my flight back to Europe is a huge stress. Then, she decided to leave a package in a car in front of her house over night with the intention of shipping it next day and it got stolen. I the very last moment I decided to spend 200 USD for over night shipping and host said she will ship it next day. I said fine, then morning became an evening, and we realized that cuz of Monday being a holiday in US I might receive it too late, since my flight back to Europe is next Friday. It was around 12:00 we decided to ship it, I provided all the information and I was hoping that the host will ship it same day, but she said she will ship it next morning. I notified host how extremely important this package is to me. I had my passport there, drone (with a lot of cool footage I will probably miss the most), phone of my wife and some other minor stuff. The sad thing is this backpack had some really valuable items for me in it. I did not want to add another 3 hours to my already kinda long trip (going 100 miles back and same road again). I was in contact with a host and we decided that the most cost effective and safe approach was to just ship it to the next location i stay in. My next location was over 8 hours drive and I realized after checking out and driving around 100 miles.

In the last AirBnb I stayed, unfortunately I forgot to bring my backpack with me when checking out. Everything was going fine until recently. For the trip I booked 8 different airbnbs in 4 different states. So for context, I am from Europe and planned 23 days honeymoon in the US. Wanted to share my story to see what is your take on this. What are our options here knowing Airbnb phone numbers put us on endless waiting times? Who do we contact?

He wasted money out of his pocket, 10h+ of complete confusion on his accommodation situation, on zero sleep, and completely abysmal communication from Airbnb AND the Host, and frankly I am thinking of suing them, not only for the refund the host won't give but for the physical and emotional damage he has endured. He's 22 years old but it's his first time ever traveling and he's on his own. He called me crying saying he wanted to come home. Airbnb customer service is unreachable, I don't know any email address I could send a complaint to. After hours he was able to secure another accommodation, out of pocket.

He told her he would find another accommodation, had the reciepts that he had in fact paid, and wanted a refund for the full paid month of September, she said she would refund him the money if she did have it, but she never recieved any payement. She wasn't at the location at the time he arrived but she eventually picked up the phone around 10 am and told him she was in a different country, didn't recieve any payement, and didn't even host with Airbnb anymore. He waited till morning in the airport before going to her location, all the while trying to contact her to no avail. He had booked the room from Saturday 03/09 to the 31st october (2 months, September paid in full with reciepts). His flight got delayed several times and by the time he got to Stockholm she still hadn't reached back and it was already Sunday (today) 1 a.m. He traveled from France to Sweden yesterday and contacted his host in the morning (saturday) for arrival instructions. I'm posting on behalf of my brother who's probably completely passed out asleep in another accommodation at the moment.
